of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and consists of England, Wales and
Scotland in addition to Northern Ireland.
The country also holds fourteen other territories,
such as Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands, the remnants of the once great
British Empire. A ‘green and pleasant land’, the United Kingdom is a magnet
for travelers from all over the world, who come to see its fine examples
of history, art, architecture and culture.
From Shakespeare to sports, Britain’s culture

sixth largest in the world, and London, the capital, is an economic, business
and cultural centre. Britain’s artists, novelists, playwrights, poets and
musicians – from Shakespeare to the Beatles, have enriched the world.

Bradford.
The principal rivers of the U.K. are the Thames,

London hotel reviews
Shaftesbury Premier Hyde Park - 78 - 82
Westbourne Terrace, London
Very good location for those who have an flight
from Heathrow - just two minutes walk from Paddington train station. Room
was nice and clean and staff was friendly.
The hotel was built by connecting three houses,
so it's main disadvantage is the hotel layout Rooms are quite small, accessible
via labyrinth of narrow corridors…
Blakemore Hotel - 30 Leinster Gardens,
Bayswater, Westminster, London
It is located very conveniently for the underground
station and close to local shops. Reception area is large and very welcoming.
To change to an continental breakfast was only £4 extra . Sorry to
say that the reception staff was not very friendly. The room was a bit
noisy and it was very hot, impossible to sleep without leaving the window
open...
