Rome
Rome, the Eternal City, is one of the most romantic and alluring cities
of the world. This city in Italy is not only wonderful to see first hand,
it has been around for thousands of years. On April 21st of every year,
Rome has a large anniversary celebration. When you have been around for
over 2, 700 anniversaries, every added year needs to be greeted with grand
style and includes the almost 4 million who live there and those visiting.
The culture and architecture are simply compared to none. The commute
to the local attractions can be reached easily by taxi or bus through the
city with both offering a flat fee for travel. For those who want to explore
more than just the City of Rome, the local railroads span over the countryside.
You can choose to walk to many of the sights in Rome since the country
itself is tiny. You can spend a day taking in all the attractions that
are sprinkled through Rome. The Vatican is one of the sights that must
be experienced slowly and with a carefree enjoyment to be able to take
it all in.
Rome is also the center of fine dining and cozy sidewalk cafes during
the day and at night, the city comes alive with light and places of entertainment
to enjoy. Weather is mostly mild for those lazy days drinking coffee at
a local Bistro. During July and August, the weather turns hotter and more
humid than most of the year. The coolest temperatures felt in Rome are
at a low of about 56 degrees. This warm weather is perfect for scouring
the local museums and art galleries or for shopping in one of the many
fine shops will help you bring home something exquisite to remember your
trip for years to come.
